Architect

Pedro Geraldes

Pedro Geraldes (Porto, 1981) is an architect, creative, mentor and volunteer.
He is the Chief Architect of one of the largest utility companies in the world, has a private practice where he focuses mainly on residential architecture and industrial design, and has been co-organising one of the largest TEDx events since 2010.
He attended the German College of Porto until the age of 18, graduated with distinction in architecture from FAUP, has a post-graduate degree in the restoration of architectural heritage from FEUP and has advanced training in design thinking and sustainability issues applied to architecture, design and construction.
His architecture and design projects have received several national and international recognitions.

Siza Vieira

Álvaro Joaquim de Melo Siza Vieira was born in Matosinhos in 1933.
He studied Architecture at the School of Fine Arts of Porto between 1949 and 1955, with his first built work completed in 1954.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, the city where he continues to practice his profession.

He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; an Honorary Fellow of the RIBA/Royal Institute of British Architects; a member of the BDA/Bund Deutscher Architekten; an Honorary Fellow and Honorary FAIA of the AIA/American Institute of Architects; a member of the Académie d’Architecture de France; of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts; of the IAA/International Academy of Architecture; of National Geographic Portugal; an Honorary Member and Fellow of the Portuguese Order of Architects; a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters; Honorary Professor at Southeast University China and at the China Academy of Art; and Honorary Member of the Association of Schools of Architecture and Urbanism of Portuguese Language.
