Known for its brownish tones and patterns with very elegant variations, walnut is a wood of the highest quality. When it is placed on the table, it takes on the colour of the grapevine stalks. These stalks, like CEPA, are responsible for supporting the fruit from which the wine is made and for transporting nutrients to it.
The Douro collection is a tribute to the Douro River and its namesake wine-growing region in northern Portugal. Each piece is meticulously crafted from riga or walnut wood, with the riga patterns imitating the terraces of the Douro, and the outer bark of the vine stems in the case of walnut.
On any table, the Douro Collection is a statement of elegance and sophistication, evoking the spirit, history and traditions of one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.
As these are natural materials, each CEPA piece is unique and can vary in colour, tone and texture.
