From soil to wine.
A celebration of a ritual.
A unique piece.
The root of a culture.
CEPA is a wine bottle coaster made from a single piece of wood or cork. More than a distinctive design object, it is intended to be the celebration of a ritual. Because when you enjoy a wine, you savour its history, its territory, its people.
Discover this original piece that contributes to a new form of presentation and serving ritual, connecting the bottle and the wine with the materials that are at the origin of its production and conservation.
Design.
Innovation that creates tradition.
It all began with an intention. A pencil draws three circles, creating an object that ennobles a tradition.
Designed by architects Pedro Geraldes Santos and Nuno Travasso, with the contribution of the Douro Museum and the Douro and Port Wine Institute (IVDP), CEPA provides value to the way in which wine is transported, served and presented. Designed to bring the bottle back to the table, as a support not only for the bottle, but also for the cork, this piece reinvents the tradition of serving wine.

with a Michelin star
Vasco Coelho Santos, who won his first Michelin star in 2022 with the Euskalduna restaurant, is one of the leading names in new Portuguese gastronomy. Just as his restaurants have won over the public and the critics, the various CEPAs have won over the Porto chef.
